| Peki'in (alternatively Peqi'in) (Hebrew: פְּקִיעִין) or Buqei'a (Arabic: البقيعة ), is a Druze town with local council status in Israel's Northern District. It is located eight kilometres east of Ma'alot-Tarshiha in the Upper Galilee. In 2017 it had a population of 5,767. According to tradition, the Jewish community of Peki'in has maintained a presence there since the Second Temple period. The only interruption in their presence was during the 1936–1939 Arab riots.
